Day 1: (Sunday) Michelangelo Hotel (Sandton, Johannesburg)
Upon arrival at the Johannesburg International Airport you will be met and transferred to the luxurious 5 star Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Optional excursions to Soweto, Johannesburg and Pretoria will be available to early arrivals. An informative orientation session will precede the welcoming dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: (Monday) Palace at Lost City. (Sun City Resort)
After an early morning breakfast we take a scenic drive along the Magalies meander to the Jack Nicklaus “signature” Pecanwood golf course for the perfect introduction to golf in South Africa.
After golf we visit the Lesedi Cultural Village for a taste of the cultural kaleidoscope offered by the Rainbow Nation. You will then be transferred to Sun City where you will stay at The Palace at Lost City, the most spectacular hotel in Southern Africa which is also regarded as one of the best hotels in the world. Your evening will be at leisure
Day 3: (Tuesday) Palace at Lost City
After breakfast we play the Gary Player Country Club, rated the no.2 course in South Africa by Golf Digest (SA). After golf you can explore the playground of the rich and famous.
You can visit the Spa for a relaxing massage, go for a game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, relax at the Valley of the Waves, try your luck at the biggest casino in Africa, go parasailing or wet-biking on the lake. This evening you will be entertained with a Bush Barbeque in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve in the company of a true African Storyteller.
Day 4: (Wednesday) Palace at Lost City
After an early morning breakfast y we t-off at the fabulous Lost City golf course. Your afternoon and evening will be at leisure during which you can opt for a late afternoon elephant back safari amongst a myriad of options.
Various excellent restaurants are at your doorstep for dinner.
Day 5 – 7: (Thursday to Saturday) Luxury Game Lodge at Madikwe Game Reserve
We leave Sun City for Madikwe Game Reserve and stay at a 5 star luxury Safari Lodge for three nights for an unforgettable African experience. The malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve is the fourth largest game reserve in South Africa (75 000 hectares). Madikwe is regarded as one of the finest conservation areas in Africa, offering all the major species, including lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, both white and black rhino along with almost all the plains antelope species.
A special feature of Madikwe lies in its unique location, a transition zone on the edges of the Kalahari, where a number of rare species occur naturally.
Your stay at Madikwe will be inclusive of all game drives, breakfast, lunch and dinners
Day 8 (Sunday) Outbound
You are transferred to Johannesburg International Airport for your outbound flight or for the extension of your choice.
1. Garden Route (3 days)
Stay at the world renowned Fancourt Hotel & Spa and play the most spectacular courses in the country including “The Links”, Montagu, Pezula and Simola.
Experience the scenic beauty of the garden route, discover Knysna’s art & crafts and enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Knysna Lake.
2. Cape Town (3 days)
Stay at a luxury V&A Waterfront Hotel and play Arabella and Pearl Valley, two of the top ten courses in SA. Experience excursions to Cape Point, Table Mountain, Robben Island and Chapman’s Peak. Shop and dine at the V&A Waterfront and visit the breathtaking Winelands region of Stellenbosch and Franschoek.
3. Victoria Falls (3 days)
Stay at the Royal Livingstone Hotel and experience one of the natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Waterfalls. Combine your stay with sundowner cruises on the Zambezi River and game watching in the nearby game reserves.
Helicopter flights above the falls and whitewater rafting down the mighty Zambezi are available for the adventurous.
